Did you get the DDR333 custom? They don't offer that in the config choices. Also, I'd love to get a 7200 RPM drive in one of these babies!

BTW by "performance" I mean speed to boot up and run basic office apps. In particular, the speed of running Visual Studio .NET is the most important thing to me. I know the P4-3.2 crushes the PM-1.7 in terms of raw number...

So, what's the consencus on how close a good centrino comes to a "Desktop replacement" in performance? I'd like the lighter weight and longer battery life, but if I can feel any slow-down, that's unacceptable. It seems to me...
