You must have seperate issues...SP1 fixes a lot of issues with Vista, and does improve performance. I was in the beat tetsing team for SP1, with many people running it with no issues...

Vista shits all over XP...Vista doesnt kill video cards....tweaking and overclocking video cards kills video cards... I would most definately recommend Vista over XP...I promise you won't go back...

Is it just me or...are there others who find the Dell driver for the 7900GS the most stable... I have tried MANY different drivers from GeForce Tony, LV2GO etc...many builds...but they all seem to cause bad problems in games...COD4...

No...there's no reason to remove the service tag. Whoever buys your laptop wont be able to get any info on you just by the service tag. Also, you are fine to leave the sticker on the bottom. I'm assuming XP Home came with the laptop so...

The way I have done it when Vista is already installed is to install XP as normal (which will lose option to boot from Vista temporarily). Then install VistaBootpro onto XP. It detects the Vista installation and adds it to the boot menu.
