Yes, did read somewhere that breaking those seals doesn't necessarily prevent getting warranty repairs done. But you might need to argue with the service people.
The bios could be flashed back but MSI warns about it as they have got many failures to fix. But the Win7 and Win8 bioses are freely available.
Generally speaking MSI is a pain here - you can't do anything yourself as the warranty seal...
As MSI has been selling GT70 different versions a long time beginning with Win7 there should be no problems with the software. Windows 8 versions do have the licence embedded into the bios, but can't say if it works with Win7. I screwed...
I think s500C is so new that no support forums are up yet - I checked notebookreview.com which has a looong list of Asus model support threads but so far nothing for S500C.
