I would definately call dell as even though it still works that doesn't mean it won't cause damage to the laptop if it is defective.
call support the power adapter is defective
1 gig now, 2 gigs ordered.
If you bought your laptop after november or december they all are using the required heatsink it seems, mine had it in there and I ordered it on the 15th of december
I believe they didn't start putting the 5400rpm drives into these until the end of the summer as I was looking at them over the summer and it never specified what speed drive it came with.
lower temps, slightly longer battery life.
