That screen looks horrible for such an expensive notebook.
Is a HDCP videocard needed in a laptop in order to play future Blu-ray and HD-DVD movies? I have read that you can play these movies without problems on laptops if they have an integrated Blu-ray/HD-DVD player, and that only desktops...

DirectX 10 only games will probably not arrive until 2 years later. Today most engines are DirectX 9 engines, with recently added DirectX 10 support.

So will the extra usage of the gpu be a problem with Vista (aero), making the gpu fan go on and running much more frequently? Sounds a little worrying.
Oh darn, I cant imagine 1920*1200 if that was 1650*1080.. Dell should have gone for 1650 instead, seems much more fitting a 17"..
I thought the text/icons on the wuxga would look much smaller, but that seems quite ok. Do you like it, no problems? I havent seen one of these screens in real life, this is one of the first good pics I think, hehe.
On your E1705, is that the matte WXGA screen, or is it the glossy WUXGA you have? It does look matte on the pictures, what resolution do you use?
