Its either a stolen laptop or somebody set a password on it.
I took it apart b4, and took them apart roughly (the notebook is now not with me) as follows: 1. Wiggle or pop out or take out the cover plate, i.e. the cover with power switch and lights 2. You will see 2 or 3 screws, unscrew them...
What software available will back it up and create such a partition on a new HDD? Thanks.

My order of quality: IBM>Dell Latitude>HP>ACER>ASUS. ASUS looks cool but the build quality is the worst of them all.
If its off, the bluetooth light will not be on, I might be wrong with D820!
Logitech V270 bluetooth mouse works well with my D400, just install driver Widcomm driver) and then pair, no pain at all!

For travelling a lot, only people have used 12.1" will give you a good advice. Don't listen to those have 14" or 15" b/s that 14" or 15" is not heavy/big, they have never explored the world of 12".
