I actually get the same problem from time to time. What I'll do is go into the bios and change the order of the boot and it works fine. I keep switching back and forth between CD first and HDD first. I'm not sure why it's not booting...
Is it just those thin copper fins that are getting packed with dust? If so, could you just get some compressed air and blow it through where the fans suck in fresh air to blow it out?
I bought one but I didn't need it. Once I opened up my machine, it already had the right one in it. Oh well. I think I can return it.
