Yeah... keep the lil 47mb diagnostic partition... and unless you plan to resell it why would you worry about the restore.. its so easy to format a harddrive these days anyway...

Tony.. a way to decrease processes is to go to tweaktown.com, search for the guide called Windows xp reformat to relax... he has 2-3 pages on how to disable unneeded processes and some regrestry tweaks.. but do these at your own risk.....
