It depends. If you physically broke the jack, then there may not be a problem with the board. If one day, despite all tweaks you couldn't get sound, it's probably a bigger problem.

Hopefully some weight saving technology. Sure, it's relatively light for this class of laptop, but nevertheless it could be lighter and thinner. Not that I'm suggesting thinner performance though.

The best way to check/compare brightness is outside in the midday sun. On my 9300 it's hard to see anything, but it's still okay. 30% greater brightness would really help.
