Ive been trying around with both chaining the firewire devices. But also runnign soundcard on FW and HD on USB2. No difference.. it feels like the speed is really cut on firewire.

Well the device is both an external harddrive and also an external firewire soundcard for musicproduction.
The only way im messuring is by transfering big amount of data from FW HD to notebook. On my other notebook the same amout...
I know there is a fix for this problem.. but i cant seem to ´fix it!?
I got a XPS M170.. and i know that in SP2 there is a bug making the firewire connection to go slower then it should.
There is a patch on MS for this..
