Well, mine went to shipping the 11th and by the time it showed any tracking information on Dells sight it was out for delivery. Hope you get yours soon.

You ordered yours a few days before I did and mine in testing now too. I guess the screen is what was holding them up.

You are correct, I never thought about it that way. Right now I'm at 1024x768 and it's ok, but not great. This HP of mine is old and that's the best it'll do. Maybe I'll re-check the 6000 from Dell and see what I can get for my budget.

From all the looking I've been doing as of late, you'll find quite a few choices with that budget. Dell (with coupons) you'll be able to get something good. If he's tough on things the IBM that was mentioned is a great choice.
