Yeah those go 7800 GTX´s are running way too hot. Mine failed eventually even with Arctic Silver 5 on and I often cleaned the whole laptop too. Mine were up in the 100 celsius on some games and lower on some.

Stuttering? What temps did you have then Max load? Since the only stuttering I can think of is microstuttering that is the nature of SLI and has nothing to do with any overheating of the GPU´s. Sounds like your GPU´s must have been...
