I did not specifically try to install a Hitachi 7K60, but the nc8000's internal drive is very easy to swap. All you need is the adequate screwdriver.
Revenant, thanks for the additional help. OK, I have installed the Symbols. But it doesn't seem to work. This is what happens: - When clicking "..." on the Symbols Path, somehow I get the "My Network Places" folder...
smilepak - xinteresting, but this isn't a CPU issue since I had the same problem on a few other computers with different CPUs. It's software related, and now I'm 100% sure (read on). mclassic - I don't have a Dell or Dell-related...
TheCzar - I have tried, but this causes one instance of the Explorer to spike at 100%, and when I terminate it, the taskbar reload, so no real improvement. smilepak - no. Revenent - none.
Note to the mods: I have posted this in the Notebook General section because it seems like the most relevant board. It is not really off-topic and I'm sure this thread will be useful for people who experience the same problem than...
Very nice needledik, thanks! Now I wonder what might be the drawbacks of undervolting... If they chose a specific volting, maybe it's not a good idea to tweak it. Really, I don't know, just asking.

Longhorn is supposed to ship in 2006. So much WinFS that will be released "later". However, maybe the actual release date will slip in 2007.
