With Vista my Machine has the ability to restore from a HDD partition and I also ordered a DVD. When you go back to XP you are no longer able to access the partition which is why I got the DVD.
i think that the shield you are looking at is for the screen not the chassis. The alienware chassis is scratch resistant. I don't think the same is true for the screen. Are the 9700 screen dimensions the same as that of the 9750. I...
I have the same issue with the mouse. it happens when the monitor shuts down automatically. I just disabled it in the powersettings. To make it come back i just hit the Fn+F3 key to switch between monitor setting and the mouse came back.
There is a respawn partition on the 9750's. at least there was on mine. so you can restore by hitting F10 on boot up. I still bought the respawn DVD just in case though. You will think it is well worth it if you ever do need em.
I bought the SFbag's one a few weeks ago. It's great.
Alot of the 9750 drivers are in the dowload area of alienwares support site. I couldn't find the f6 driver i needed but finally found it on intel's website. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ional&lang=eng that was of course...
It has been delivered. I won't see it for a couple days but it will be waiting for me.
My tumi backpack was awesome but the 9750 won't fit it. I was looking at another tumi bag. I bought a sleeve for it to protect it inside a bag.
