Well it looks as though the sager 4780 anyway uses the same plug as the inspirion 7000 by dell. They currently have the right plug for that system with an N-charge vnc-130. That is the battery I believe that Tom's hardware did a review...
He said that the machine could possibly power our machines for 12 hours. I doubt it. Would be nice but i doubt it. I am thinking probably more like 3 hours of hard use.
He stated that the next generations battery MIGHT be compatible with the sager. We really won't be able to tell till then.
Just a heads up. I have had some correspondence with a guy at www.valence.com He says that at the end of february they are comming out with an external battery for the machines, such as ours, that draw more current.
