I agree with all people who say it's better to wait for a 8800 to surface. 8700's in SLI is a nice setup, however, the 128 bit memory bus is a big bottleneck nowadays.

Try cleaning the dust, even new notebooks may have problems. Also, ambient temperature can rise temperatures. Actually I'm at 29ºC and the laptop reaches 93ºC at full load in ET:QW.
