-with support for Windows XP (even Home) prolonged to 2008
-tests showing that Duo isn't much faster yet
-MXM to stretch gaming lifetime
I will wait till Windows Vista is bug free and only then buy a new system.
I asked Sager helpdesk why I don't have the OC option in BIOS and some other people do.
"No choose, so far all our unit did not have that option..."
Also the reply from Rock Direct helpdesk;
I 1st used Centrino Hardware Control and there was no batterytime. Now I installed Notebook Hardware Control 1.9 beta 03 (+ .NET 2.0) and I have remaining time! Yesss!!!
Still, Windows XP is only showing a percentage.
I also own a Clevo m570 (Sager 5720). For the money it's the best you can get. But there are some cons.
- Hiss in headphone - no solution yet
- Lack of OC option some BIOS - no solution yet
- No Temperature sensor on ATI...
I think we can conclude that the OC option is BIOS independent but linked to the CPU speed.
I think Clevo doesn't offer the OC option on the slow CPU's because those will than perform like their high-end brothers who are twice...
Okay, I did the flasing.
- First flashed to stock BIOS, but no OC option available in my BIOS.
- Then flashed the beta update and now I do have the Fn+F1 & Fn+F2 options.
Why the OC option isn't there I don't know but it s*cks!
I think I have some very good news! I haven't tried it yet as I'm not at home but;
Has anyone tried the BIOS from Rock Xtreme CT (http://www.rockdirect.com/)???
It's another Clevo m570 clone and they offer a BIOS...
