Those games should run OK. It will have a hard time with newer stuff though, and though you should be able to run a pretty wide assortment of games, don't expect them all to look very pretty.

I believe you'll find real-world performance to be pretty similar between the two. ATI's low-end cards are usually very slightly better than nVidia's, however, and the addition of a larger hard drive would make the 5602 my choice.

I know you could output the one computer via S-Video into the TV-tuner of the new laptop, but that would probably end up looking pretty crappy. I'm not sure there's a way to do it that will actually look pretty.
