Well I've got the cx2610 up and running, right now its installing almost 100 xp updates. If you need to do a fresh install you'll have to slipstream the install with the intel drivers from the link above. Its the first time I've done...
I have a similar problem with a cx2610. Has anyone had any luck with this problem? And thanks ghn for the link it looks promising....
Just to throw my two cents into the hat, I'd probally start with unbuntu or xubuntu. Both of them are easy to set up and like others have said, they work. I've also looked at elive and its pretty cool looking. Right now I'm using...
Oh, but why would you ever want to stop using suse?
I've got a c600, i've4 got the live cd of the development elive in and its working fine.. I cant find my pcmcia wireless card right now, so i'm not sure if it will work. If I find it I'll pop it in and see if it will work.
Just for S&G here's the results from the live cd's that I have laying around. Kubuntu works perfectly. Kororaa works also. Elive worked when I booted with the card in the reader, but I removed it without unmounting it the system...
I'll have to boot into a live cd in a bit but i'm pretty sure that breezy handled the card reader on my m6810 flawlessly... but i might be imagining things.
Ok it's got to be too early in the morning or i'm really sslow rithgt now, but internal card reader? Like a card reader on the side of you laptop? or am I wayyy off base?
hmmm makes me want to dump ms even more....
Thanks for the suggestion spinitch, as soon as I complete the move into the new house in a couple of weeks I'll tear it down and check thoses connection out. I'll post what I find out then. thanks again everybody.
