I have a v4000t with a Celeron and a 4200rpm HD. Ordered base model. It works great for WoW and Battlefield 2. The 4200rpm I have has 8mb of cache, Ive seen plenty of 5400rpm's with inferior 2mb cache. Upgraded to 1gb of ram. Im...
I think the v2000 is smaller. The keyboards should be the same, but the v4000t will have more palm space and a larger screen. I own a v4000t and love it. Its main purpose has been mobile gaming. I drag it all over to friends houses,...
I purchased the bare bone Celeron v4000t. Upgraded the ram to 1gb. It plays Battlefield 2 good. I play WoW on it too. No regrets so far. It has the 40g 4200rpm hard drive, however, it still has an 8mb buffer. So I would assume...
yea, just surfing 40-50 is the norm. but if your overclocked like i was, and running a high demand game 70C isnt too out of the ordinary. im clocked back down to normal and im around 65-66C while gaming. 75C is when things start...
Im a big fan of ATI and always will be. They've been around forever, and still hold thier own. I got burned by nVidia back in the Voodoo days, I was told they bought out Voodoo and halted all support on thier stuff. I had an ATI...
I noticed while taking my v4000t apart, that the little plug on the motherboard for quickplay is present, but nothing is plugged in. I wonder if its possible to rig quickplay on the compaq? Just get the pinout and make something?
Do you mean HP vs Compaq? Both machines are the same, different shell, the HP has Quickplay features, for playing a DVD movie without turning it on. I think thats all. I bought the v4000t and love it.
Here's my computer running GUN.
Well, with the dv4000 the X700 is part of the motherboard. And is NOT replaceable. I have a buddy that plays World of Warcraft on his Dell I6000 with intergrated Intel GMA 900 Gfx. Runs it at 1280x800 medium settings, about 25fps.
I got my v4000t for $699. They had it on sale. Celeron 1.6, 512ram, 40hd. Gotta love the x700 though.
