well the math is simple, those fans propel the hot air out even quicker, while at the same time they create the flow of cold air underneath the laptop (where the intakes are), so it's a win win situation.

Excellent condition, $32 shipped. Only the upper part, the bottom memory cover you'd have to get from your 7900GS. I believe this will fit 7800 and X1400 (DELL of course), modification to chassis may be needed.

I only have the upper part, the lower part can be taken from stock 7900GS/X1400/7800.
Heatsink is in excellent condition, it would make a perfect upgrade for single heat-pipe owners....
if you all remember Dell had lot of problems with vanilla 7800 in E1705... it overheated all the time... all the problems were solved with 7900 series, so maybe this time they decided to skip the 8800 for the same reason and wait till...
