Power DVD or Media Center....some times it plays ok..sometimes it plays choppy

Hi, When i Play DVDs on my 9300, the video is choppy even when I close all my programs. I got 1 gig of RAM and Nivida 6800 and 1.86Ghz....guess for playing DVDs and video you dont really need this spec..please help me out and let...
