The AC adapter for my E1505 is only slightly warm when I'm running the E1505. It only gets quite warm to hot while the battery is charging AND the E1505 is ON.

I agree that the screen should not blink. Mine did, occasionally, before I updated the BIOS and the ATI Driver recently (fingers crossed ), but not since then.
