Just noticed it today...actually goes out a but more and extends over the bottom part of the screen.

This noise started when I was just on the desktop, not doing anything.

I think it might even be the harddrive...any help is appreciated. The laptop is shutdown for the last 10 odd hours, I will be starting it up today evening, hopefully its gone. Thanks!

It just started today and its coming from the back of the computer, near where you connect the network cable. It dissapears when laptop goes to standby or shutdown. Is the fan located near that area? Then, that might be it. Any...

Go to Task Manager, sort by the CPU tab and see which process is using up the most memory.

Whats up with this bottom light leakage? I think some guys are too picky on this, my Samsung has some, but during normal uses, its impossible to see it.

Heh...my system is like 20 days old and taken care of nicely.

It doesn't work again, it started working inbetween.

I have Samsung...don't see anything wrong with it. Used Powerstrip to bump down Gamma and Brightness. In anycase, I am not that picky either.
