Dynamic switching allows the CPU to run at cooler temps also; if you care for a ~5C difference.

Thanks a lot. I fixed the problem. I uninstalled the "Microsoft AC Adapter" and "Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method Battery." Then restarted with the battery in and it was recognized.

Just installed the chipset and nothing has changed.
