well i got the MSHOME shortcut on the desktop... i need name/password, but never set any? do i use the name/password for the desktop i guess?

and then for the company name put MSHOME? and for host name or IP do i use the router as host, or the desktop as host?

well i listed the options... and JOIN isnt one... so now what

what option do i check... connect to internet connect to network at my workplace setup home or small office network setup an advanced connection... thats the only options i have

yeah guys i know... im pretty frustrated with all of this.. the PC sees all shared files/folders from the laptop and the shared files/folders that the PC is sharing the laptop sees NOTHING from the PC, and there are shared folders...

yeah, all drives are shared on BOTH computers. desktop sees all drives and shared folders, laptop sees nothing from the desktop bc i get an access permission error thing... it was posted earlier exactly what it says

lost patrol... i did JUST that... and the desktop sees the laptop, and can access the files, but the laptop doesnt see the desktops files.

the xp pro pc is the laptop... xp home is desktop

yeah i tried that, and am not too familiar with what the right steps are as far as options to select, like in the network wizard. i did reboot, and still no avail.

well, i redid the wizard, created a disk and installed the file on the laptop, and it still doesnt see the home computer! im about ready to throw in the towel, as it seems impossible to get this to work
