Here in UK we can register our extended warranty for Acer laptops within 360 days from the date of purchase... And it is all like this in the whole of Europe...
Well - I got my machine back in the end. By the looks of it they have managed to find the problematic parts. The service have replaced mainboard and charger circuit. But... I'll wait and see - I hope the problem will not reappear.
Try pressing Fn+F7 (i think it is F7) - this seems to be the easiest solution... Did it work??
Yeah... That is a real shame... And that is why I am going to buy extended warranty for my lappy...
That is exactly what I had thought before I sent it to Acer. It is now in their service centre in Plymouth. I wonder whether they will sort the problem out? Well I hope they will... Well, either way I intend to buy extended warranty...
Welcome to the club Gav... It looks like my TM8103 display. Looks like not only 8100's series has this problem. I called Acer and my lappy is already under repair in Plymouth. I hope this guys will sort this out. You better contact...

I was only ablo to go into 'product user' section and download ordinary user manual. What I am looking for is the servicing manual which (hopefully) reveals many details of laptop's internal architecture. Has anyone been more successfull??
Has anyone of you already got hold of this one?? I was trying to find it on the Web, but no success really... Well there is a bloke in Texas selling it at $12.99, which sound reasonable, but the bugger won't post it outside the...
Does it look like your machine is switching from AC to DC for few seconds?? Does it happen when your battery is less then 60% full?? If yes - than it seems to be common issue for TM series, not only TM8100...
