this is typical VGA card failure not windows issue you might need new VGA

this happen to me also just one or two flashes just before the antivirus load i think it's a VGA Driver issue

i played halo 2 on vista ( i got 7700) much more stable than lost planet but less graphic

mmmmmmmmm i just finished playing lost planet on my 7700 see mi sig & it run mostly smooth at resolution 1024 X 768 high shadow, high quality & 4X AA with frame rate 40 ~ 24 according to how heavy the action is

beware that V5.1 has a problem & will mostly endd dead within a year
