Bump. I have the same laptop I'm trying to get XP working on. All I need at this point is the stupid Sigmatel driver. I've got everything else working except that and the hot keys. Anyone?
It will still take a while for prices to drop on solid state for them to completely knock off regular HD's. As long as HD manufacturer's continue to be able to increase the size of their discs as they have been it will be a while before...
Anyone know when they'll likely have an updated version? I'll probably be getting a new laptop in the next 2-3 months and I'm really hoping they'll have something out by then. Has anyone heard/read anything?
I would wait at least a month as santa rosa laptops are just starting to come out. I agree with mitcity though, a 15.4" with a 8600 would be perfect for you. I'm not sure when the new Inspirons are coming out but the E1520 might...

The new Asus C90 might fit pretty well with what you want. Though, if you really need alot of storage space for music/movies/etc I'd recommend just getting a good external drive. If you go with a laptop that's going to have space for 2...
I would look at getting a tablet that has some kind of available casing(like you can get for a PDA/mp3 player). I don't know if something like that exists, but it should if it doesn't. I'd think that someone should make a durable...
Man, that's a nice machine but I don't know if I could step back to a P-M. I do alot of multi-tasking and I remember how great it was stepping from a 2Ghz P-M to a 1.6Ghz Core Duo. I think I'd really rather go with a C2D set-up. I...
