Simple. Don't use torrents at all. If you HAVE to use it, I generally use Bittornado. Otherwise I'd try using newsgroups.

Simple browsing and installing applications on a battery (I forgot to plug it back in) and it was well over an hour. I didn't really time it but I only noticed it until it had 29% left.

Anyone have any M9700 tips they'd like to share? The dynamic cpu trick in the power settings was a VERY useful tip. Also, disabling the VoIP support in BF2142 is quite helpful as it causes it to crash on the M9700. Any ideas why this...

The M9700 isn't loud at all. when I was playing games, the fans would kick in but it's nothing compared to a desktop machine. I'm suprised at how quiet it is.
