I'm actually having this exact same problem with my m5500. I've tried reloading drivers and all that jazz but the computer still won't recognize the HiSpeed USB ports as that--it treats them like 1.1 ports. Any help?

My order is now in phase 9! This system has absolutely FLOWN through the phases since the cases came in (Phase 3 to Phase 9 since Friday) and now it looks like it might be shipping out as early as tommorrow! I wish you all the same...

Thanks for the review! I'm converting from the 7700 to the 5500 as well, and I'm extremely happy to hear that your machine doesn't seem to have the same heat and weight issues as the behemoth 7700.
