I picked up an ML6714 a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Much better than my previous sony vaio and pretty much any dell i have ever owned. Only laptops i like better are the thinkpads and they have too much of a price premium.
it's not the drivers, it's overheating, grab rivatuner or some equivalent and see what your temps are under load. You will probably see the card repeatedly hit a peak, then drop fast (this would be when you get the slowness). If that's...
You might also want to think of re-applying the thermal grease on the gpu. Over 6 months or so, the grease on my 7900gtx stops making any difference and a re-apply brings everything back down to normal.
I've never seen a definitive answer from anyone so i'll give the definitive answer. It is definitely heat. I've gone through 3 vid cards now, i've replaced the cpu, mb has been replaced, and the issue would keep coming back. I assumed...
grab the drivers from laptopvideo2go.com. Whatever the latest is with the most reviews usually works like a charm. Why anyone would grab the drivers the mfr. supplies, i'll never know. Be sure to clean out the old ones first using...

It's back for me, i guess it could be the gpu heating up, anyone able to pull temps on their gpu? I've tried every app i can think of and have never been able to get the gpu temp. But i can't explain why i can reproduce it by pulling...
Just to add, i tried the RMClock app. If i up the voltage to 1.4 instead of 1.35 the freezing seems to subside. Goes from once every 5 minutes, to once every few hours. If this worked for anyone else, please post.
i have an x2 3800 FOr some odd reason it doesnt do it to me in bf2. But just about every other game it happens in. It used to do it in bf2, but suddenly it just stopped doing it. Was never able to explain that either.
Same issue here with the hypersonic 9750. I also have tried everything. I know for a fact it's the CPU. Quick way to reproduce the problem is pull the power cord so it runs on battery. If anyone has solved this, please post what you...
