I just got my 9750 as well. Used nLite to get rid of all the Windows annoyances before even installing. All of my CAD apps run at warp speed, and gaming - well, I didn't know that Sam Fisher had eyelashes is all I can say.
Got it up and running. Ron Baird suggested that since I had TWO non-working laptops, I should take the CDROM out of the old one and put it in the new one. The tech walked me through it on the phone with Ron. Now THAT is service. ...
Argh! CD-ROM has died! Block errors out the wazoo! RMA #2 coming up.
I figured it out. Bad disc. I was trying to slipstream SP2 incorrectly.
I have now been able to integrate the drivers by slipstreaming the drivers into Win XP Pro SP2. However, the system now BSOD's after boot with the same stupid error 0x0000007B. Still no progress...
