I updated the firmware for my G5 over a month ago to support my mousepad -- did they JUST release the G7 firmware now?
I figured CNet's review seemed off in terms of battery life claims, and based on this PC Magazine Review it looks like I was right. Funny thing is, PCMag and CNet are owned by the same company if I'm not mistaken.
Even with said fix, games still run with a LOT of ghosting on the Hauppauge card -- not worth it. Sadly I don't know any other way to play console games on a laptop.
Actually, for CompleteCare claims, the machine must be sent to Dell themselves so they can evaluate the damage. That way they can determine whether a new machine is required, or just to replace the screen/whatever else is...
Gee, why couldn't they have announced this a few days ago? I just happened to sell my XPS2 laptop (went back to a desktop for now). I just bet my batteries were on the list. Oh well, at least I contacted the new owner of the laptop...

Take note, Macs are designed with basic recording needs in mind (hence the inclusion of software like Garageband.
I was going to suggest either pressing the Auto button on the LCD, or to try modifying the Image Phase/Lock settings on the display.
