What about the new Vostro 1700? Seems like the same a what is on the 1720 and the 1730 but in black rather than silver.

I've used the XP SATA driver for various SATA cards with Windows 2003 without any problems. (the driver model for storage drivers on XP and 2003 are the same)

M1730 with NO Docking port = I'll wait for the Precision version of the same.

Yeah, it seems sound cards work pretty well in it.

I'm starting this thread in hopes of people listing what PCI cards they've tried in their D/Dock docking stations and what the results were. Unfortunately, my own results haven't been all that good - I would really like to get an eSATA...

I also agree - you did just fine and as long as you're happy with the quality of the unit you get, you got a good deal.

At least in the states, all the G-series Qosmios use the 2-lamp screens - don't know on the F-series ones tho...

What about the 512Meg Quadro thats in the new Precision M90? Anybody know if its supports the Dual DVI??

Actually from typical Toshiba designs, I would *really* be suprised for that 7800 to be a GTX, but who knows.

Has anyone here with a G20/G26/other Qosmio laptop been able to boot from anything other than the internal HD or CD/DVD? (I'd love to be able to boot off anything USB - I have a G25 myself)
