Yes I think Dell uses a cheap touchpad. Not sure who makes it, don't think they would send you one they don't already use in the notebook. Have them replace it if you are having probs.
Don't even go there! That's how I got into this prob Really I don't think a pic would show the prob. Watch a movie and look at the bottom and top of the screen do ya see the screen any lighter???
I am gona keep my 8600, don't find the light to much of a prob and the screen is the best yet. I don't have a choice really gona be TDY for about 6 months and need one by March.

No really, I know that some have this but why would you want all of that on a laptop. The battery life would suck, and it would be heavy.
