OK, quick update on this issue...I know now this is definately a hardware issue and not software. Every time I boot I get the green lines and I can get the lines to dissappear by "moving" the LCD back and forth...albeit...

OK, now I get the green lines everytime I boot up and only "after" I've left my 5680 off for some extended period of time. Then in ~15 minutes all the lines disappear and everything appears to be normal. I can even reboot...

I've had my 5680 for about 2 weeks, turned it on today and wala...same green lines! Rebooted twice and problem went away. Does anyone know if the LCD ribbon cable can be replaced without RMA? I'd rather just do it myself.
