Agreed Sony's DVD-RW drives suck. The Sony DVD-RW drive in my Dell E1705. Is giving me a bunch of issues and doesn't work sometimes at all. Well it is two years old. The rest of the machine is working perfectly after all this time.

My E1705 is two years old this month and it's still going strong.

Still waiting for my T61. They now say it's going to be delivered on the 18th, well over a month after I ordered it!
