My guess would be dell has 2 mobo's they put into the notebook, 1 with pci express slot for gpu, and another with a built in gpu chip. this would allow them to save money by not shipping built in graphics with all notebooks.

my brother has had a 9300 for about a year now, no problems at all. I don't have the 9400 yet that I ordered, but I did alot of research over the past couple of months and ended up with buying the 9400 if that means anything.
