I think that the Dell 9400 or E1705 will meet your needs totally fine. Ya the video card might not be so good right now, but you can get the 7900gtx later on if you need to and get the ram from newegg, much cheaper lol
ya Dell is the mercedes of computers, they always fall apart! But serioudly, IBM is like a ford F-150, put it through hell and it will keep going, and the inspiron line is for home users, not very well built, but the business laptops...
