I am using XP Professional. I uninstalled the old drivers and used driver cleaner and installed the new one and works fine.........shuts off lcd when closed......

I would just install the driver I think that should do it for you.. I believe that it should recognize your card and adjust the speeds for you

Just looking at this again. the 5006xs is a wireless card. Get your ethernet controller drivers from dell or you software disks that you got with your machine.......... ...

You might want to check to make sure you are installing the right driver for the right adapter. Usually you will have a wireless adapter and an ethernet adapter. I would look in the device mananger and check. You can do a forced driver...
