My bro has a Toshiba A100 -188 and gets 3900ish 3Dmarks. I have the Acer Travelmate 8204WLMi with the X1600 and i get 5500 3Dmarks. not even in the same ballpark

for that stutter just kill the ATIevxx(somthing along that line) in the task manager.

Go to device manager and uninstall it them restart computer

seems that the plastic protect thingy is heat sealed. As in heat it up and it shrinks. Not your fault it was so hot the shiny surface peeled away.

Can you connect to anything else? check wires like jaad75 said Uninstall the Wireless device from the device manager Check the intel website for driver updates (or software)
