I have the A08 Bios. The Dell repair tech replaced my LCD and the problem was fixed. Yeah, isn't that Gateway monitor awesome? I'll try that F8 key stuff - never knew about it.

It's real sad if Vista 64 bit has poor support and is unpopular when all the new processors are 64 bit. 32 bit programs work under WOW64. I couldn't find many drivers from Dell for my E1705, and for the Angel USB TV either.
I run Oblivion on a 7800 go overclocked to 350 / 750 and it run 13 to 20 fps outdoors @ 1440 x 900. If you change your video card yourself you will void your much needed warranty!
