The dell is .4" inches thicker and an extra pound or so. not a huge difference. if you dont need to switch, then dont. The extra costs of new harware and software isnt worth it IMO.
What exactly do you need? Other inputs/outputs? I am waiting for expresscards

yeah, there is quite a lag for anyone to produce these express cards. its a bummer, but hopefully it will be for the better in the end.
I believe that was with the older (not tiger) version of OS X that was dual booted on a PC. It is nice how easy you can dual boot on a mac now, I doubt MS would ever try to do such a thing.
for what its worth I take around a E1705(17") daily. Sure its a little bulky but the extra screen space is worth it to me. I probablly would only use it in a backpack style case, a shoulder bag might get a little tiresome after a...
its ok, Id buy an apple too if: the macbook pro was in a 17" format it was as fast as the E1705 it was only $200 more than a E1705 So i guess that means I will never own a macbook. how sad.
