They worked on the same laptop when I had XP. What gives? There aren't any drivers available as it doesn't pull anything up from the web. Are older USB Drives destined not to work with Vista?

Some may say to wait, but I'd say if you are ready to go, buy it now. Technology always changes so what's out now will likely be obsolete right out the door.

Yeah. I mean, if the M1210 and other notebooks are able to, I don't see how it's different really. Where do the webcams on those notebooks connect to?

There are a bunch on ebay. I was wondering the same thing for my 6400. Are the 9400 and 6400 optical drives the same size/dimensions?

Same with the I6000, it seems like the Firewire connection is a hit or miss. It sometimes connects my Ext HDD and sometimes it doesn't. I'm probably better with USB, but wanted to try this out--same problem though. Any ideas? --James
