I have a Dell Axim X50 and it is the sweetest gadget alive. It does everything!!!

My 8600 has an IR port but, by default, it's disabled. I have to go into the BIOS and enable it.

I've had nothing but excellent service with newegg.com. Usually takes less than a day and I already have hte tracking number from them.

Is there a bar like the cingular bars raising up from left to right with a red X over it? Try right clicking on that and select enable radio. I have a different laptop than yours and that's what I have to do. Maybe it'll work.
