Further tweaking has produced... 465/1050 @ 3608 3D Marks. My absolute maximum; temperatures are approaching 90 and I won't push it any more... Maybe if I got one of those GTX coolers I'd be able to go a little...
Okay, putting me barely back in the top 20, here's 3334. Note that while this is listed as the 7800GTX, it is in fact my 7800Go (as proved by the score) using the GTX BIOS.

Okay, I've done a little tweaking and I have mixed results... I'm now at 455/1050 with the GTX BIOS at 1.3v, but my 3DMark06 score has improved little. I'm at 3334 where I was at 3299 before. I wonder why so little...
I don't think the AS5 made all that much difference in the GPU as far as cooling it down, but I think it helps it keep from overheating when I'm overclocking it. It seems to make more difference in the CPU (idle at 20 with fan on low).
Actually, I thought the Core Duo performed admirably in the tests against the X2. Here's AnandTech's say on it:
