I have the A03 bios...if I want to update to the A05 all I need to do is download it off Dell and burn it to CD, then boot off the CD?

The 7800 performs poorly at stock, but overclock it and you can get a huge performance boost. It's more modern tech than the 6800 Go Ultra, so however much I love mine, I'm gonna have to recommend the 7800. Or just get a 7800GTX.

Core Duos are about the same speed as Pentium Ms in single threaded apps, so you could go for a slower CPU with better multi-tasking ability, or a faster one that's better at crunching single apps.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Safari etc.

I can run it with 2xAA and 2xAF at 1600x1200 and it's completely playable so I'd estimate it might be in the region of 60fps. Haven't tried higher settings, but after today's new overclock I might be able to get higher detail options.
