No, no, your logic is backwards. The XPS LED's will attract the chicks (and everyone else who passes your laptop...) In terms of graphics, that NVIDIA is a beast. All in all, the Dell is a much better buy, trust me on this.
The only time that it's better to use FW is if you have to capture from a video camera. Other than that, USB is superior.
