My brief, incomplete benchmark testing with Prime95 seem to indicate the performance is neglibly faster with no usb devices connected, which is what I originally expected to occur. Perhaps this is just a problem with RMClock.

I don't have a solution, but it is worth pointing out that your machine should have no problem with DVD playback even with hardware acceleration disabled. Most Home Theatre PCs used to do DVD postprocessing won't work unless hardware...
